Upload Your Content
Uploading content is done through the iTunes interface.
- You will need to login to the Full Access iTunes with your eID and password then navigate to your specific course page. If you have been given the proper permissions, you will see a link in the top right part of the page titled Upload Files.
- Clicking Upload Files will open a page back in your web browser to upload your files. At the top of the page, click Add Track(s). A form will appear below with a button labelled Browse...
- Click the Browse button to explore your computer and find the files you would like to upload.
- Once you've selected the file you want to upload and hit Okay, your browser will automatically
upload the file to iTunes. Once it has finished uploading, you will have several options:
- You can reorder your list of content by using the arrows on the right side of the page to move a file up or down in the list of available files.
- You can move files to a different tab or to the trash can for deletion by checking the box next to the file you'd like to move or delete then selecting the appropriate tab (or trash can) from the drop down at the top left.
- If you have a newer version of a file and would like to replace the older version, you may do so by clicking Replace File on the rightmost column of the table listing your files.
- Once you have finished uploading your content, return to iTunes using the "Return to iTunes" link at the top right of the page. This will automatically refresh your course in iTunes to show your changes.
A couple things to note:
All content on iTunes U is hosted by Apple. We do not have control over backups so if you want to ensure that your content is available later, make sure to keep backups of it on your computer (and secondary backups on CD or external hard drives to be safe).
